The role of a barwaiter is multifaceted and central on board our ships. It’s a position that demands a blend of social skills, agility, and a meticulous eye for detail. From the precision required in crafting beverages to the art of engaging with guests, a barwaiter must be adept in creating an environment that feels both exclusive and inviting. Collaboration with the bartender is crucial, ensuring that every aspect of the bar service operates seamlessly. Additionally, the versatility to assist in the restaurant further showcases the barwaiter’s commitment to providing comprehensive guest service. This dynamic interplay of tasks ensures that each day is filled with unique interactions and opportunities to deliver unforgettable experiences.

You:

You are service-oriented and have an enthusiastic appearance and you get along well with different types of people

Preferably previous (river) cruise experience

Good physical condition (fit for duty)

Your colleagues enjoy working with you. You can also work independently and take responsibility

The well-being of the crew on the ship is important to you

You are open minded and flexible and have a hands-on mentality

You have knowledge of the HACCP guidelines

You are resistant to stress and resilient and have no issues with being away from home for a few months

Good English skills (written & verbal), German knowledge is a big advantage

Sijfa Travel:
